A melody arrived unexpectedly during a quiet moment alone, I quickly recorded it in my car before it slipped away. It carried a weight that called for simplicity in harmony, structure, and arrangement which unfolded with ease at the piano. I didn’t need to make it bigger than it was, it felt effortless piecing it together letting the feeling lead.
What emerged was a tender and honest expression of self that foreshadowed a profound life shift. Looking back, it feels like a kind of diary entry — something my subconscious was trying to process before I fully understood it.
This is the first single from my upcoming studio album Odessa.
